1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how WorkOnHybrid ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services, whether as a job seeker ("candidate"), employer, or visitor. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

2. Information We Collect

a) Candidate account information — When you create a candidate account to apply for jobs, we collect your name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), job category, skills, city, years of experience, and your resume file.

b) Employer account information — When you create an employer account to post jobs, we collect your company name, company website, contact name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a secure hash), and, optionally, a company logo.

c) Job application data — When you apply to a job, we record which job you applied to, the date of application, and its status (e.g., applied, interview scheduled, rejected). If you use a paid application plan, we also record your plan type, applies used, and validity period.

d) Payment information — When you purchase a plan, payment is processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details ourselves (see Section 5).

e) Support tickets — When you raise a support ticket, we collect your name, email, the subject and content of your message, and any replies exchanged, along with a status (open/closed) and a unique ticket code.

f) Automatically collected information — Like most websites, our server may log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, for security and diagnostic purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your candidate or employer account
• Match candidates with relevant job listings based on category, skills, and other profile details
• Send your application and resume to the employer's listed application email when you apply to a job
• Process payments for paid application plans through Razorpay
• Send transactional emails, such as application confirmations, ticket updates, and account-related notices
• Respond to support tickets and other inquiries
• Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Platform
• Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms and Conditions

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing Your Information with Employers

When you apply to a job as a candidate, your name, email, phone number, category, skills, city, experience, and resume are sent directly to the application email address listed by that employer for that specific job. Once this information reaches the employer, its further use is governed by that employer's own practices and is outside our control — see Section 6 of our Terms and Conditions regarding our lack of responsibility for employer conduct.

We do not share your information with any other candidate, or with employers you have not applied to.

5. Payment Information

All payments for application plans are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. Razorpay handles your card, UPI, and bank details directly in accordance with its own privacy policy and security standards; WorkOnHybrid does not receive or store your full payment credentials. We retain only a record of the transaction (plan purchased, amount, date, and payment status) for accounting and support purposes.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies or similar technologies (such as PHP session identifiers) to keep you logged in to your account and to remember basic preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to stay logged in.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 16), subject to any records we are required to retain by law (such as payment records).

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including password hashing, restricted access to resume files, and secure verification checks before allowing an employer to view application data tied to their own job postings. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Platform, including:

• Hostinger — our web hosting and email service provider, which stores our database and files on our behalf
• Razorpay — our payment gateway for processing plan purchases

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the independent privacy practices of these third parties beyond our contractual relationship with them.

10. International Data Transfers

Because WorkOnHybrid lists international remote job opportunities, your application data (including your resume) may be sent to employers located outside India, in the country where the job is based. By applying to an international job listing, you consent to this transfer of your information to the relevant employer.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account (most fields can be updated directly from your dashboard)
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for future processing, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 16.

12. Support Tickets and Communications

Information you provide in a support ticket, including your name, email, and message content, is visible to our support team for the purpose of resolving your request. Ticket history is retained so that you and our team can refer back to prior conversations if you reopen or reference a past ticket.

13. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We recommend checking this page periodically.

15. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, consistent with the governing law and jurisdiction provisions in our Terms and Conditions.
